GPAINNOVA to Present Two New Technologies at 3D Print Lyon 2022

Updated: Apr 4, 2022

APRIL 1, 2022

From April 5th to 7th, GPAINNOVA, one of the leading technology platforms specializing in surface finishing solutions, will be taking part at 3D Print Lyon 2022 Congress & Exhibition, the main additive manufacturing (AM) event in France. During the event, GPAINNOVA will gather their latest innovations for metal surface finishing, including its latest solutions: Dry Projection, based on the new DLyte eBlast system, and Dry Suspension.

The group will also be exhibiting its electropolishing equipment meant for the industrial sector, which will be available at booth D23. Additionally, Vincent Vuylsteke, Area Sales Manager at GPAINNOVA, will hold a product pitch on April 6th at 16:45 about the advantages the above-mentioned DLyte eBlast, since this system is one of the five finalists for the Innovative Trophy, organized during this trade show.

DLyte eBlast: and Advanced Solution for Complex Geometries

Released in November 202, DLyte eBlast is a projection technology solution that provides a stream of solid-electrolyte particles propelled by a non-conductive liquid media to improve surface quality of metal parts using the patented electro-blasting technology. It consists in an electrochemical metal surface finishing process especially designed to treat to a mirror finish metal parts with very complex geometries large or heavy parts which are difficult to polish by immersion or require a localized surface finishing, like molds, welds, cavities, channels and AM parts.

Visitors will be able to find out more about this machine on April 6th at 4:45 PM at the conference room of the fairground, attending Sarsanedas’ pitch about Dry Projection.

Presenting Dry Suspension for the First Time in France

The trade fair will also offer the opportunity to see first-hand how the Dry Suspension Technology, launched in March 2022, works. It is a revolutionary solution based on a new electrolyte that combines polymer particles and a non-conductive liquid, especially designed to improve the results of conventional dry electropolishing processes.

The new Dry Suspension electrolyte is recommended for processes requiring more accurate surface finishing results than the ones achieved with conventional dry electrolishing. The new solution prevents particles to get stuck on the metal surface (thus avoiding pitting), facilitates the treatment of occluded areas, protects the surface during the process, prevents oxygen from affecting it and improves the temperature control of the consumable, among other benefits.

Other Electropolishing Machines Available at 3D Print Lyon

Another device to be exhibited is DLyte Desktop PRO, the first ultra-compact dry electropolishing device, selected in February 2022 as the Most Innovative Electropolishing Machine 2021 at the European Enterprise Awards. Due to its low price, its small dimensions and for not requiring a special pre-existing or compressed air installation, this device allows any company to automate its production. On the other hand, it will be the second time in which GPAINNOVA will offer this device together with a new electrolyte created to treat titanium pieces, at a special price.

The fair will also count on the DLyte PRO500, the most advanced and powerful dry electropolishing equipment for mass production. This equipement provides a high-quality and fully automated surface treatment for high value, delicate or complex parts, and with specific finishing requirements and high precision. It offers important technical advantages over other technologies, such as abrasive finishing, robotic scouring and polishing and mechanical brushing.

GPANNOVA’s booth will also host the DLyte 100I, a compact machine for low or medium production volumes. It grinds and polish steel, stainless-steel, cobalt chrome, nickel, titanium, carbon steel, aluminium and carbides. At last, the group will show its MURUA, the smallest machine in passive layer technology for precious metals.

GPAINNOVA is a technology group born in 2013 in Barcelona, with subsidiaries in Sunrise (Florida, USA), Hong Kong and Shenzhen (Mainland China) and specializing in surface metal finishing machinery, with DLyte and MURUA; medical devices with GPAMEDICAL, naval robotics with GPASEABOTS and high-performance power electronics with POWER INNOTECH. GPAINNOVA has a team of more than 180 professionals on staff and more than 40 engineers, 55 distributors, more than 600 worldwide clients, allowing for a turnover of €23.2 million in 2021 (47% more than the previous year). GPAINNOVA was selected by Financial Times among the 1,000 Europe's Fastest Growing Companies in 2020, 2021 and 2022. It is algo among the 4 Europe’s fastest-growing companies in the industrial goods sector, being the first one in Spain.
