GPAINNOVA launches RESPIRA's emergency ventilation device to help current health emergency by Covid-

GPAINNOVA is leading RESPIRA project to respond to the global health emergency with the development of a medical ventilator devicewhich is in high demand and essential to save lives of those most seriously affected by Covid-19 virus. Our company has yielded all its equipment and resources to create a device that allows the manual resuscitation devices (BVM or AMBU) to be activated automatically, giving a more adequate response to patients who need it to survive.

GPAINNOVA started on April 10th the manufacturing process and has already delivered more than 100 Units of RESPIRAto regional hospitals. The use of RESPIRA device has been approved by the Spanish Health Authorities in at least 45 hospitals of our region. Clinial trials with patients afected by Covid-19 have already proved excellent results in Hospital Clínic. RESPIRA has passed the same tests as a homologated medical ventilator device and can be supplied worldwide with the authorization of local health authorities, even though it is still not a CE Mark product. GPAINNOVA's will is to extend the use of RESPIRA's devices to as many hospitals with Covid-19 patients and local health authorities as possible.

In addition, through a solidarity campaing, GPAINNOVA encourages companies and particulars to join us in the battle against COVID-19ordering RESPIRA units directly at GPAINNOVA to support their local health institutions or through Hospital Clínic Foundationwith donations.

RESPIRA project has been developed under the supervision of the health authority Institut Català de la Salut (ICS) of Catalonian Government with the participation of Hospital Clínic of Barcelona and Centre de Medicina Comparativa i Bioimatge del Institut de Recerca Germans Trias i Pujol - Can Ruti in Badalona, also with healthcare professionals from Hospital de Sant Joan de Déu of Barcelona.

It has also had the support of Secretaría General de Industria y Pyme del Ministerio de Industria, Comercio y Turismo. RESPIRA project has been carried out following the guidelines of Agencia Española del Medicamento y Productos Sanitarios of the Ministry of Health.
